Flavoring & Extract Company was founded as an independent flavor
manufacturer. In 1979, the Berghausen Corporation acquired General Flavors
as a complement to its expanding beverage foaming agent and specialty food
color business. In 1994 Flavor Systems International emerged from Berghausen
as a technological leader in the flavor industry. The company represents
the culmination of Berghausen’s 130+ years of service to the
industry and FSI’s creative flavor innovation. Their new headquarters
located in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the latest phase in their continued growth.
